DANCE, MONKEY – FOR IAN

The idea of Dance, Monkey is that people I know request a brief story for me to draw in comic form (or offer to draw some requested by me or someone else!).

#2 – FOR IAN FALLON

Brief:
A robot learns to communicate with a cat. It inadvertently precipitates the robot uprising. Humanity is destroyed.

DANCE, MONKEY – FOR JAMES

I’m changing my comic title idea to “DANCE, MONKEY” as there’s been some confusion that I intended these comics for children. NOT SO, as you shall glean from the first offering below. The idea is people I know request a brief story for me to draw in comic form (or offer to draw some requested by me or someone else!). If anyone would like to adjust their requests accordingly, make it so. The best ones may end up as an actual comic at some point in the future…

So, here’s #1 – For James Goldthorpe

Brief:
An unemployed, failed musician with glasses and a broken ankle discovers new vigilante super powers involving a spinning crutch attack and a super sonic scream of death.

Doin’ it for the kids…

Friends, because a gal can never have too many creative projects on the go at once, I have a new comic project “FOR THE KIDS”. It is where you (as long as I know you) request a rough idea for a short comic strip you’d like me to draw for you, and I draw it. ANYTHING you like.

Ian Fallon and James Goldthorpe have given me this idea and theirs (their briefs below) are thusly underway (online here next week-ish). The best few when they’re done might get made into my next actual paper comic. C’mon, join in… message me or whatever with your request… you know, for the kids!

FOR THE KIDS:

FOR IAN:
A robot learns to communicate with a cat. It inadvertently precipitates the robot uprising. Humanity is destroyed

FOR JAMES GOLDTHORPE:
An unemployed, failed musician with glasses and a broken ankle discovers new vigilante super powers involving a spinning crutch attack and a super sonic scream of death.

FOR LIZZIE:
Me+Keanu Reeves+Big bath of cream hehehe…Can I meet Data too? That would be swell

FOR DAVE:
Howabouta creepy story set in an old haunted school? 😉 (See text for more info)

FOR JAMES COPPARD:
Can I request one where my eldest son is given super-powers and had to rescue his apparently comically inept parents from immediate danger? If I could draw that is the sort of thing I would draw for him, but I can’t so I must live my dreams vicariously through you!
